Here is a collection of some of my recent work and the process through I developed them!

"Three's Company"- Figure in Narrative Exploration
This was a semester long study under the guidance of Miguel Carter-Fisher. We studied figures in narrative paintings throughout history, like the work of Botticelli, Degas, Raphael and countless others. We then composed photoshoots for authentic reference photos, stretched 6 feet canvases ourselves, and utilized our study of color theory throughout his mentoring to fully engross ourselves in the development of these pieces throughout the semester. I'm very grateful for this in-depth study as it immensely strengthened my skills and understanding of the painting process, as well as my ability to create compelling narratives within the imagery of my work.

"The Great Toad Adventure"- Sequential Imaging Project
This was an exploration in my sequential imaging class on creating an original comic using preexisting characters in your own stylized way. The requirement was simply to produce 3 finished pages and two storyboards but I had so much fun with this concept I did three extra.

Sisterhood Video- AGD
During my time as the Vice President of Marketing for my sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, I was tasked with making a promotional video encapsulating the sisterhood and values of our organization, whilst simultaneously showcasing a higher narrative about COVID-19 and resilience through a harrowing time. The FSL (Fraternity and Sorority Life) specifically tasking social media managers to come up with a more overarching message than simply the bond we share through sisterhood. I decided to showcase how being apart of a community like mine helped us persevere through troubling uncertain times and make the most of our situation during the pandemic, still being able to support each other and make cherished memories. I compiled all these clips from sisters, formulated a chart to ensure every member was featured at least once, edited the audio to remove explicit language, had the video reviewed by the advisors of alpha gamma delta, and showcased this video on our instagram as well as during our recruitment weekend on our sisterhood day, convincing hundreds of girls to place bids for Alpha Gam

Social Media Work- AGD
During my time as VP Marketing I had the pleasure of making graphics and animations for my organization. Here is a few of my favorites, I had so much fun curating content to fit the Alpha Gamma Delta brand and did plenty of research to stay within the trends and aesthetics of the time. Especially during the COVID pandemic, social media was our only source of connection and promotion, when meeting potential new members in person wasn't an option. This gave me a whole new appreciation for the power of social media, it truly felt like I was the deciding factor for how our organization was perceived and whether girls felt drawn enough to our brand to pledge to our sisterhood versus the others simultaneously competing for their bids.

Core Values Columns Mural-Top Golf
Whilst working at TopGolf and obtaining my BFA, I was given the opportunity to paint a mural at the TopGolf Richmond location. This occurred due to me always utilizing art in my work- when parents brought children I would draw their names and favorite characters on cups. In the backroom on the announcements whiteboard I would update it daily with spirited drawings, and in my off time I was constantly doodling in my guestbook. My managers took notice and asked me to do a mural for $10 an hour after my shifts that represented the core values we maintained at TopGolf and to incorporate columns as thats part of their imagery in training employees. I sketched my idea and was able to balance my shifts, my art class assignments and projects, and putting in extra time for this mural.
